Relief for Struggling Trauma Providers

The Emergency Physician Fund (EPF) is a non-governmental private fund established to assist trauma physicians in a time of shrinking federal and state budgets.  EPF’s objective is to provide an additional source of funding for uninsured patients.  EPF gives needed relief for qualified cases.

Traffic injuries are one of the leading causes of death for people under the age of 45.  Statistics show that patients treated at trauma centers have a 25% higher survival rate compared to those seen in hospitals without those services.  Yet, budget restrictions and reductions continue to affect the ongoing effort to monitor the trauma system which depends on the funds allocated to it.  The lifetime cost of crash related injuries are calculated in excess of $70 billion dollars.

EPF is now accepting applications for the current calendar year.  Immediate funding is available for qualified cases. Click on the following link to apply: Emergency Physician Fund Application.
